LAWRENCEVILLE - After years of delays, a trial is set to begin in Gwinnett County for the founder of a science-fiction convention who faces multiple charges of child molestation.

Edward Kramer's numerous medical conditions have delayed his trial several times. But The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday in the trial of 52-year-old Kramer.

Kramer was charged with molestation in Gwinnett County in 2000, but declared unfit to stand trial because of a spinal condition. He was accused of molesting three boys between 1996 and 2000. He was put on house arrest and ordered to have no contact with children under 16. He was given permission to travel in 2008 and authorities say he was found in 2011 in a Connecticut motel room with a 14-year-old boy.
