CUMMING - The woman driving an SUV that rear-ended a loaded school bus in Forsyth County Thursday is facing charges in the case.
"The driver of the Suburban who rear-ended the bus was intoxicated," Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater said.
55 year old Nina Lynn Amren is charged with DUI alcohol and following too closely, according to Rainwater.
"We arrested her after a field sobriety test, took her to our detention center and gave her a breathalyser test."
The accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on Campground Road. Rainwater said Amren lives in the Bentley Road area, about a half-mile from the crash site.
Two students complaining of pain were checked out on the scene and released to their parents, according to Rainwater.
