JEFFERSON - Jackson County sheriff's investigators have two men behind bars as they look into an identity theft case.
Sheriff Janis Mangum said the lengthy investigation led deputies to get search warrants in Atlanta, where they made the two arrests last Thursday.
"They were using computers and just obtaining the information through some ways that we're not elaborating on a lot, because we're continuing to investigate this," Mangum said.
36 year old Jonathan Marcel Perry and 30 year old Brandon Mitchell Williams, both of Atlanta are been charged with identity theft and financial transaction card fraud.
Mangum said Williams was also wanted in Gwinnett, DeKalb and Fulton counties on similar charges.
Perry was wanted in California on larceny charges, according to Mangum.
She said the investigation is continuing.
"There are other victims we're trying to contact, and we anticipate having several more," Mangum said.
