GAINESVILLE – Collin Pettell was a perfect 10-for-10 passing for 338 yards and five touchdowns and Raleigh Beougher caught five passes for 211 yards and three scores to lead Riverside Military Academy to a 56-14 rout of Social Circle Friday night at Maginnis Field.

The Eagles (3-4, 2-3 Region 8-AA) exploded for 28 first quarter points and led 42-0 by halftime. The two teams would trade touchdowns in each of the third and fourth quarters.

Riverside piled up a season-high 580 yards of offense. Christopher Howard had four catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns.

Sage Jordan rushed for 117 yards and two scores and Abery Cagle had 138 yards rushing for the Eagles.

The win for Riverside snapped two-game losing streak. The Eagles travel to Glascock County next week before returning home to take on No. 10 and defending state champion Jefferson in what will certainly be a must-win for them to have a shot at the state playoffs.

“We will need some help but we will give it everything we have to make the playoffs,” Riverside coach Gary Downs said.
