Gwinnett triple murder suspect may be in La.
LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County police think a man responsible for a triple murder in Snellville last month may now be in New Orleans, LA.
In a press statement released Monday, police said they have reason to believe 33-year-old Robert Bell drove a stolen pick-up truck to New Orleans. That stolen truck - taken from a residence near the murder site - was found on October 2 in the New Orleans area.
Bell is accused of ambushing Angelina Benton and three other people outside a home on Anderson-Livesy Lane. Three of those shot were killed, including Benton, her 12-year-old son and her 19-year-old godson, according to police. Benton's boyfriend was shot in the leg, but survived the attack.
Police said Bell had been staying in the Snellville home for about two weeks prior to the attack.
Investigators have not yet said what the motive in the shootings might be.
Crimestoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of Robert Bell.
