Braselton presents "Oz the Great & Powerful" under the stars

BRASELTON - Under the Braselton Stars continues Saturday with the fantasy-adventure, "Oz the Great and Powerful."

James Franco stars as a small-time circus magician who is hurled by a tornado away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz. First he believes he hits fame and fortune then meets three witches who are not convinced he is the great wizard. As he attempts to restore order to Oz, he must determine who is good and who is evil. He puts his magic to work.

The movie also stars Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams. The 130-minute film is rated PG and is a 2013 release by Walt Disney Studios.

Movies are free of charge and begin at dusk (about 7:30) and are sponsored by the Braselton Visitors Bureau Authority. Blankets and chairs are welcome. Vendors will offer treats along with the Braselton Lions Club which presents baked goods and concessions.

Braselton Park is located on Harrison Street in the down's historic downtown.
