GAINESVILLE – The Junior League of Gainesville-Hall County is set to host Hall County’s largest garage sale again this year.

The annual Thrift Sale is Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Brenau Downtown Center (formerly the Georgia Mountains Center). Admission is $1.

The Downtown Center will be filled with items ranging from furniture, electronics and housewares to toys and children’s clothing.

“This annual event raises money for Junior League’s community initiatives, which support and promote the well-being of children and families, and it provides people the opportunity to shop for some great items at really affordable prices,” said Katie Crumley, 2013 Thrift Sale co-chair. “All proceeds from the sale go back into the community.”

Those who want first pick of the items can shop early on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets for early shopping are $5, and all items are double priced.

All transactions are cash only, and shoppers are asked to not bring shopping bags or strollers.
