CLARKESVILLE - A Clarkesville man remains in the Habersham County Detention Center following his arrest on drug charges Tuesday.
Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell said Gregory Ray Martin, 47, of Briarwood Drive, Clarkesville, was arrested following a Fourth Amendment waiver search of his home.
The search involved Mountain Judicial Circuit Narcotics Criminal Investigation and Suppression Team agents, working in conjunction with the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Uniform Patrol Division, and resulted in the discovery of various prescription medications, syringes, glass vials containing substances not original to the containers, and $3,600 in U.S. Currency.
Martin is charged with possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule IV narcotic, and possession of a dangerous drug.
Terrell said bond had not been set for Martin as of Thursday morning.
