Rabun County flyover results in marijuana seizure

CLAYTON - Rabun County Sheriff Frank Andrews announced today the seizure of 20 marijuana plants last week.
On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the Mountain Judicial Circuit Narcotics Criminal Investigation and Suppression Team, working in conjunction with the Rabun County Sheriff's Office, the Governor's Task Force, the National Guard Counterdrug Task Force, and the Georgia State Patrol performed helicopter flyovers throughout Rabun County.
During the flyovers, 20 marijuana plants with a street value of $2,400 were located in the Persimmon Road area of the county, and subsequently seized.
The investigation is continuing.
