GAINESVILLE - Joshua Brian Randolph plead guilty to a 49 count accusation for theft and related charges in Hall County yesterday.
According to District Attorney Lee Darragh, Randolph declined a lawyer and represented himself before Judge Bonnie Oliver. Wanda Vance handled the open-ended plea, meaning that the judge would decide.
"The judge sentenced him to 25 years to do eight years of prison with $47,000 plus in restitution," said Darragh.
Darragh also said this was the end of the case in Hall County. "He closed all the Hall County cases that we are presently aware of."
Randolph, also known as Kevin Cobb, the editor of "The Gainesville Observer," was involved in a theft ring earlier this year. See the previous AccessNorthGA.com story below.
