Ga 400 northbound back open in Forsyth County
CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities closed the northbound side of Georgia 400 for about an hour Tuesday afternoon because of a traffic accident.
The sheriff's office closed the highway shortly after 1:00 p.m., following the wreck in the area of Bottoms Road.
"At the end of everything, a car was pinned up against a concrete truck," Forsyth County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Rainwater said.
"The final result was the lady that was in the car was airlifted to Grady Hospital with critical injuries."
No one else was injured, according to Rainwater.
Deputies re-opened the road around 2:20 p.m.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is investigating the collision. Investigators have not yet released any names.
