Hall Co. hires chief deputy tax commissioner
GAINESVILLE - Hall County Tax Commissioner Darla Eden announced Wednesday that she has appointed Randall (Randy) H. Williams as chief deputy tax commissioner for Hall County. Williams was previously the chief deputy tax commissioner in Rockdale County, a position he held for eight years before arriving in Hall County.
"The fact that Randy has prior experience, is well-known in the industry and has many friends in local governments across Georgia will be an extreme benefit to Hall County Government and Hall County taxpayers," said Eden.
Williams' duties include serving as operations manager for the Hall County Tax Commissioner, and he is also deputized by the Tax Commissioner under Georgia law to assume authority in Eden's absence. Among his many other duties, Williams will oversee management of the Motor Vehicle and Property Tax Division.
Prior to serving as chief deputy tax commissioner in Rockdale County, Williams founded and owned a software development company specializing in software for property tax/digest and accounting/financial applications for small to mid-size local governments.
Williams was appointed to his position effective Aug 19.
