Barge to spend a day with Gainesville City Schools

GAINESVILLE - State Schools Supt. John Barge plans to spend a couple of hours visiting with Gainesville Ctiy School officials one day next month and participating in a special assembly.

"We are extremely excited to have Dr. Barge spend the afternoon with us on September 20, 2013," said Dr. Merrianne Dyer, Gainesville schools superintendent.

The visit will begin shortly after noon that day, according to Dyer, in releasing the planned itinerary for the visit:

12:15 am State Superintendent and Staff Arrive

12:15 1:00 pm Lunch at school and Parent/School/Community Roundtable

1:05 1:25 pm Tour Enota Multiple Intelligences Academy

1:30pm 2:00pm Awards Assembly
