Water washes out Hall County road

GAINESVILLE - As a line of showers and storms cycled through Hall County Thursday afternoon, rising waters forced Hall County emergency crews to shut down a portion of Talmo Road.
Hall County Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director David Kimbrell said Talmo Road, near the Jackson County, line was closed around 4:00 p.m. because of a road washout.
According to an email from the Hall County Sheriff's Office, the road will be closed to thru-traffic for what may be the next few weeks. Detours are currently being set up.
The affected area is in between the two entrances of Ed Cobb Road, according to Kimbrell.
