MT. AIRY - Habersham County officials are dealing with flooding in several locations, including Alto, Baldwin, Cornelia and Mt. Airy.

Baldwin Police Chief Jesse Varner said at 3:50 p.m. he and his officers are checking various parts of the city for flooding.

"Right now we've only got one lane passable in front of the post office on Willingham Avenue," Varner said. "Also, we've got the underpass closed on Airport Road."

While it is located outside his department's jurisdiction, Varner said Old Gainesville Highway near Apple Pie Ridge is beginning to flood as well.
