Apartment fire believed intentionally set

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Firefighters said a fire this Friday afternoon on Parkhill Drive appeared to have been intentionally set.
According to fire captain Keith Smith, the blaze was contained to one apartment in building D of the Versailles Apartments at 1687 Parkhill Drive.
Smith said the fire was inside the back door and into the kitchen area of the unit. They also believe there may have been unauthorized people living in the apartment.
Firefighters got the call around 1:00 p.m. No one was hurt.
