HOSCHTON -- Michael Gettys and Jonathan Gettys combined to allow just one hit, but Gainesville baseball couldn't find a way past Mill Creek on Thursday, falling 1-0 in Hoschton.
The Red Elephants (9-2) gave up the one run after a Hawks batter earned a walk and eventually reached third base on a passed ball before stealing home.
Gainesville picked up three hits on the night but couldn't push a run across.
Michael Gettys started and pitched four innings, striking out seven while allowing one hit. Jonathan Gettys suffered the loss despite allowing no hits and striking out five in two innings work.
Gainesville will travel to face Salem at 5:55 p.m. Monday.
