ATLANTA - Arthur J. Williams of Hoschton has been named by Gov. Nathan Deal to the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, and Marriage & Family Therapists.
Williams is chair of the Counseling and Human Sciences department at Mercer University. He retired as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1967. He was director of the juvenile detention center in DeKalb County from 1972 until 1985.
Williams earned a bachelor’s degree from the former Augusta College, a master’s degree and doctoral degree in Counseling from Georgia State University.
