Campaign against sex trafficking in Ga. kicks offBy The Associated Press ATLANTA - The Georgia attorney general was joined by members of law enforcement, state and federal prosecutors and state lawmakers to kick off a campaign targeting sex trafficking.
Attorney General Sam Olens on Monday announced the public awareness campaign with the slogan ``Georgia's not buying it.'' It specifically targets those who pay for sex. To effectively combat sex trafficking, Olens said, it's necessary to go after the demand. The campaign includes a public service announcement featuring professional athletes from Atlanta teams speaking out against sex trafficking. The effort is a public-private partnership of the attorney general's office, law enforcement, nonprofit advocates and the Governor's Office of Children and Families. As part of the campaign, the attorney general's office is also working with partners to do trainings and increase awareness. Link: Georgia's not buying it © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
