Tennis: West Hall boys advance to Wildcat Invitational finals

DULUTH -- The West Hall boys tennis team knocked off South Forsyth 4-1 Friday in the first round of the Wildcat Invitational held at Epic Center in Duluth.

The Spartans (8-4) swept the doubles and took two of three singles matches to get the victory.

In the singles play, Max Wilson got a win at No. 2 and Austin Dyer won at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Grayson Kyle and Min Kim rallied from a set down to win and the NO. 2 team of Kip O'Kelley and Connor Kirkland won in straight sets.

West Hall's Tatum Scroggs lost in three sets at No. 1 singles.

The Spartans will play the Gainesville-Flowery Branch winner for the championship Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Epic Center.
