Soccer: Buford girls dominate West Hall, 10-0
West Hall's Gabrielle Ligas, left, battles with Buford's Tara Dambach for control of the ball in the Lady Wolves' 10-0 win on Friday in Buford.
BUFORD -- Elexa Bahr and the Buford girls soccer team made short work of West Hall on Friday, scoring a 10-0 victory in Buford.
Bahr struck for six goals in the dominating victory -- including four in the first half.
The Lady Wolves' Mia Edmond also scored with 20:35 remaining, bringing the game to a close due to the mercy rule.
Caitlyin Dawkins opened the scoring for third-ranked Buford (8-0, 1-0 Region 7-AAA), and Bahr scored the next five to put the contest out of reach.
Brie Smith also scored in the second half, as Buford kept the Lady Spartans (3-4, 1-2) from manufacturing one shot on goal during the game.
Buford will look to keep rolling on Tuesday against White County, while West Hall will look to bounce back on March 22 at East Hall.
