Soccer: Lady Knights hold off North Hall

MURRAYVILLE -- Johnson scored two first half goals and then held on to beat North Hall 2-1 Friday in girls soccer action.

Chandler Steele and Yasmine Villatoro scored 45 seconds apart midway through the first half to break open a scoreless game.

Evelyn Aviata assisr=ted on Steele's and Steele got the assist on Villatoro's goal off a corner kick.

North Hall did not get on the board until just over five minutes was left in the game and missed a chance to tie when a penalty kick with 1:30 left in the game sailed wide right.

Hannah Hodge had six saves for Johnson (4-4-1) in goal.

The Lady Knights will return to Region 8-AAAA on Tuesday playing host to Lanier.
