Gainesville holding public utilities workshop

GAINESVILLE - The city of Gainesville is holding a Public Utilities Department (PUD) workshop Friday and Saturday at Brasstown Valley Resort near Young Harris.

City council members and other city officials were expected discuss an overview of the city's public utilities, the department's current financial condition, top active projects, and policies and planning. In addition, there were tentative plans to discuss a Rate Differential Study.

Also on the agenda are a discussion of residential wastewater billing volumes and a recommended funding plan.
