Tennis: Lady Trojans stay unbeaten, whip Banks County

MURRAYVILLE -- The North Hall girls whipped Banks County 4-1 Tuesday in Region 7-AAA action.

The Lady Trojans (5-0, 2-0 Region 7-AAA) swept the doubles in staying undefeated on the season.

Kaitlyn Smith and Hannah Gibson beat Leia Rylee and Kaelan Standridge 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles and Courtney Barnes and McKay Higginbotham beat Shelby Turpin and Bree Harris 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Natalie Oxley whipped Haley Hill 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles and Tricia Dial beat Taylor Mullins 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

Banks County got its only win at No. 1 singles when Lauren Carter beat Kelsey McCray 6-0, 6-1.

North Hall next will travel to East Hall on Thursday in another Region 7-AAA match.
