Multi-vehicle accident tangles 985

OAKWOOD - An afternoon traffic accident on Interstate 985 caused some commuter headaches in Hall County Friday afternoon.

Early reports from first responders indicated the wreck involved four or five vehicles in the area of the Atlanta Highway/Mundy Mill Road Interstate ramps.

At one time, all southbound lanes were reported blocked.

Motorists were also reporting onlooker delays on the northbound side of 985.

The accident call came in around 5:30 p.m. and remained in the clearing stages an hour later.

Authorities initially said one person suffered minor injuries.
