GAINESVILLE - A public send-off is planned today for the Gainesville High School boys basketall team as it heads to Macon for the State AAAAA Championship Game.

The game will be played tonight starting at 8:45.

Gainesville Schools Supt. Merrianne Dyer says the team will leave the school at 12:15, circle Centennial, Fair Street, and Wood's Mill schools, then travel to Gainesville Exploration at approximately 12:45.

The bus will return to Rainey Street and the GHS area, travel Oak Street to West Academy, and down Green Street at around 1:00. From there, it will circle Enota, New Holland, and then Gainesville Middle School about 1:20. The team will depart for Macon at 1:30.

There will be one bus for the team, and no intersections will be blocked, according to Dr. Dyer, who added "there should be no traffic delays."
