Tennis: Lady Knights fend off Lumpkin County

The Johnson High girls tennis team edged out Lumpkin County in a Region 8-AAAA match on Thursday.

Karina Rivera took out Anna Claire Norton 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 singles for Johnson, while Riley McNeil defeated Claudia Head 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.

The Lady Knights also got a key point at No. 2 doubles via Marissa Rodriquez/Kaylyn Dumanowsky and their win over Cathrine Avery/Courtney Fortner, 6-0, 6-1.
