Soccer: Lady Knights open region slate with 2-0 win

The Johnson girls soccer team shut out Monroe Area for a 2-0 win on Tuesday in the Lady Knights' first Region 8-AAAA match of the campaign.

Chandler Steele scored off a free kick for a 1-0 first half lead, while Brittany Martin added the second strike off of a deflection.

Hannah Hodge preserved the shutout in goal with three saves.
