Former CFO gets four years in theft pleaBy Derreck Booth Editor GAINESVILLE - The former Chief Financial Officer of a company pleaded guilty in Hall County Superior Court this week to charges he bilked the company he worked for out of over $126,000 dollars over two years.
49 year old Loren Matthews Collins entered the negotiated plea and received a 15 year sentence, according to District Attorney Lee Darragh. Collins had served as CFO for Clarity Holdings, a subsidiary of Piedmont Logistics, according to Darragh. The sentence includes four years behind bars, probation and restitution. Darragh said evidence showed Collins stole the company money through checks and electronic transfers. The probation ends after eight years, if sentence conditions and full restitution is paid, according to superior court documents. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
