Soccer: Lady Knights get first win of season in 8-AAAA opener

COVINGTON -- The Johnson girls soccer team opened its Region 8-AAAA schedule with an impressive 4-0 victory over Eastside Thursday night.

Brittany Martin paved the way for the Lady Knights (1-4-1, 1-0 Region 8-AAAA) with a natural hat trick. Martin scored the first three Johnson goals, two in the first half and one to open the second half scoring.

Chandler Steele scored Johnson's final goal of the game. Steele also finished with one assist.

Sandra Macedo had two assists and Karolina Guzman added oone assis for the Lady Knights.

Hannah hodge recorded five saves in goal to earn the win for Johnson.
