Brenau U. singled out for recognition by city of Norcross

By Staff
NORCROSS Andrew Hixson, Mayor Pro Tem of Norcross, recently presented Brenau University President Ed Schrader with a key to the city and a proclamation honoring Brenau's role in educating the population surrounding the Norcross area.

"The university's students and staff are more than just in Norcross" Dixon said. "They work in, serve and are an active part of our community."

The proclamation states that Brenau University is "a key and valued institution in the city." Hixson said that Brenau's mission of providing students with extraordinary lives is in line with the city's mission to provide a place to imagine.

The North Atlanta campus, which is located in Norcross, currently serves over 400 students but Dr. Schrader hopes to grow that number. Both he and Hixson see the need for higher education in the north Atlanta area and agree that Brenau is key in filling the role.

Brenau offers a wide variety of both graduate and undergraduate programs at the North Atlanta campus, including education, business, occupational therapy and interior design.
