CUMMING -- The Flowery Branch boys soccer team battled Forsyth Central to a 1-1 draw through regulation and overtime before winning a penalty shootout 4-3 to claim the victory on Friday in Cumming.
The Falcons scored to go ahead 1-0 in the first half on a goal from Joey Brett off an assist by Connor Knox before the Bulldogs knotted the score.
The game moved through regulation and overtime without a winning strike, heading for penalties, where Flowery Branch keeper Jonathan Beltran made two saves to aid the win.
Beltran finished with 17 saves during the contest.
Flowery Branch will travel to West Hall on Tuesday.
