Tennis: Lady Trojans whip Lumpkin

MURRAYVILLE -- The North Hall girls tennis team took a solid 4-1 win over Lumpkin County Thursday.

In singles, North Hall’s Kelsey McCray beat Anna-Claire Norton at No. 2 6-1, 6-3, and Tricia Dial beat Claudia Head 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3.

In doubles, the two North Hall teams lost just one game in taking wins.

Hannah Gibson and Kaitlyn Smith won 6-0, 6-0 over Charlotte Gaston and Ansley Travis at No. 1 doubles, and McKay Higginbotham and Courtney Barnes beat Courtney Fortner and Catherine Avery 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
