Tennis: Habersham spoils East Hall opener

The East Hall boys tennis team dropped its season opener to Habersham Central Thursday.

The Raiders swept the doubles and won two of three singles matches to take a 4-1 victory.

East Hall got its lone win at No. 1 singles when Dane Allen defeated Austin Miller 8-0. At No. 2 singles, East Hall's Zach Groover lost a close match to Payton Cain 8-6 and the Vikings' Jonathan Morales fell to Habersham's Chris Holbrook 8-2.

In doubles, East Hall's Jose Gomez and Oscar Torres lost 8-4 to John Benton and Alex McEntyre at No. 1.
