GAINESVILLE - Fire destroyed a mobile home in the 3000 block of Clarks Bridge Road in Hall County Thursday afternoon.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said first responders checked one of the occupants for possible smoke inhalation.

"They were just checked on the scene and found to be not in any distress and no problems," Kimbrell said.

Kimbrell said heavy smoke and fire were coming from the 14 by 60 foot structure when crews arrived around 3:40 p.m.

"After the extinguishment, due to the smoke, heat and flame damage, it was a total loss."

Kimbrell said the American Red Cross was assisting the two elderly occupants of the home with clothing and shelter.
