Tennis: West Hall boys get first win

DULUTH -- West Hall swept the doubles and won two tight singles matches to pull out a closer-than-the-score-indicated 4-1 win over Duluth Tuesday in boys tennis action for its first win of the season.
In doubles, Grayson Kyle and Min Kiim beat Nico Stufanell and Kevin Kim (wh) 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 while Austin Dyer and Connor Kirkland held off Farkaan Sannani and Carlos Carmona 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.
In singles, West Hall's Tatum Scroggs beat Abhi Romarchankian 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at No. 1 and Max Wilson came from behind to beat Rick DeVries 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.
Duluth got its only win when Garesh Prabaharan beat Kip O'Kelley 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.
West Hall goes(1-2) next will play host to Collins Hill on Wednesday.
