Savage trial rescheduled againBy Derreck Booth Editor GAINESVILLE - The trial for a Cornelia woman facing federal explosives and gun charges has once again been rescheduled.
Bob Paige, Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Attorney's Office Northern District of Georgia, said Monday the trial for Celia Savage had be set for mid-April. The trial had been scheduled to start this week. It was originally scheduled to begin last December. Federal agents found two pipe bombs and a number of guns, as well as illegal drug paraphernalia and suspected illegal drugs in Savage's home last Spring. Her attorney had argued the government was too aggressive in pursuing her. Paige didn't immediatly know the reason behind the trial delay. Savage has been out of jail on bond since July. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
