Gainesville woman identified as victim of car crash

GAINESVILLE - A 29-year-old Gainesville woman died in a single car accident on Old Cornelia Highway Monday afternoon.

The Georgia State Patrol identified the victim as Brigitte Marie Lepkoske.

Investigators said it appears the victim was driving southbound when her vehicle left the roadway; she overcorrected as she tried to move back onto the roadway and flipped the vehicle a number of times.

Troopers say Lepkoske was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The crash happened before 3:30 p.m.
