8-AA tournament: Rabun girls, Jefferson boys through to final

GREENSBORO -- The Rabun County girls edged out rival Union County 61-52 in overtime on Friday in the Region 8-AA tournament in Greensboro to earn a spot in the tournament championship game on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Jefferson boys knocked off Rabun County 59-54 in a boys semifinal to book their championship game appearance.

The Jefferson girls could not make it into the title game, falling 55-51 to Greene County in overtime.

Greene County will face Rabun on Saturday for the girls crown.
