8-AA tournament: Rabun girls win; Union boys fall in 3 OT

GREENSBORO -- The Rabun County girls basketball team knocked off Washington-Wilkes 66-49 on Wednesday in the Region 8-AA basketball tournament at Greene County High in Greensboro.

The Lady Wildcats (16-8) were led by 17 points from Bryleigh Bleckley.

Meanwhile, the Union County boys basketball team suffered a 86-83, triple overtime defeat to Washington-Wilkes on Wednesday in Greene County.

Rhett McCombs scored 35 points for the Panthers (16-8), while Zach Odom added 19 in the loss.
