Atkinson, Spartans shock Dawson County

OAKWOOD – Hunter Atkinson poured in 23 points and the West Hall boys basketball team finished the regular season on a strong note after knocking off Dawson County 62-52 Friday night at the West Hall gym.

The Spartans (11-14, 7-7 Region 7-AAA) led 15-14 after the first quarter but would take a 26-25 deficit into halftime. West Hall would outscore the Tigers 17-9 in the third quarter to grab the lead and go on to the victory.

Grayson Tyler would put on a shooting display most of the game finishing with 15 points on five 3-pointers. Tyswon Cantrell.added 12 points for the Spartans.

Tyler Dominy led Dawson County with 26 points.
