SUGAR HILL -- The Chestatee girls basketball team overcame a nine-point halftime deficit to defeat Lanier 57-50 on Tuesday in Sugar Hill.
The Lady War Eagles (19-5, 7-1 Region 8-AAAA) fell behind 25-17 at halftime but outscored Lanier 24-15 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Sam Brown paced the comeback with 22 points, while Katie Arthur added 12 points. Bridgette Kelly and Maegan Kenimer also scored even points apiece.
Chestatee has completed its Region 8-AAAA regular season schedule and will enter the 8-AAAA tournament at Johnson next week as the No. 1 seed.
