OAKWOOD -- The West Hall girls basketball team came out strong on Tuesday, draining five 3-pointers in the first quarter to stay within a point of Buford. But the Lady Spartans couldn't keep the outside dominance going, falling 58-31 in Oakwood.

West Hall (9-15, 3-10 Region 7-AAA) was held scoreless in the second quarter and scored 13 points the rest of the way.

Jensen Hall paced the Lady Spartans with 12 points, including four made 3-pointers.

Kristina Nelson led the Lady Wolves with 14 points, while Bree Horrocks scored 12 and Mackenzie Darrah added 11.

Buford plays host to North Hall on Friday in game that will be broadcast live on WDUN AM 550/102.9 FM.

West Hall, meanwhile, will wrap the regular season on Friday against Dawson County in Oakwood.
