Authorities find indoor pot grow house, make two arrestsBy Derreck Booth Editor CUMMING - A traffic stop Sunday night led to the arrests of two people and an indoor marijuana grow house in Forsyth County.
The stop happened late Sunday night on Georgia 400 near Shiloh Road, according to Sheriff Duane Piper. Sgt. Richard Thompson made the stop and found marijuana. Information from the stop led to a search warrant at 3250 Canon Bay off Buford Dam Road. "We found in the basement of the home, 32 marijuana plants between five feet and seven feet high. We also discovered an unknown amount of marijuana buds that were drying and multiple pieces of equipment, such as lights and a filtering system, that are used in an indoor grow house," Sheriff Piper said. 52 year old Robert Wesley Williams, who lived at the location of the grow house, is out of jail on $11,110 bond. He's charged with manufacturing marijuana. 58 year old Melanie Dawn Phillips of Roswell was charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and is also out on bond. Williams is scheduled to appear in Superior Court, Drug Court on Feb.18, according to the sheriff's office. © Copyright 2013 AccessNorthGa.com
