Boys basketball: Spartans skewer Banks County, 84-55

OAKWOOD -- West Hall sprinted to a 23-7 first quarter lead en route to a 84-55 defeat of Banks County on Monday in Oakwood.

The Spartans (10-13, 6-6 Region 7-AAA) led 40-21 at halftime and were led by a game-high 19 points from Tyswon Cantrell.

Jesse Van Parys also scored 11 for West Hall, while Esteban Ulloa and Mason Gaines each scored 10.

Austin Venable paced Banks County with 16 points, while Will Ledford scored 14 and Jordan Barnett chipped in with 12.

West Hall will play host to Buford on Tuesday.

Banks County will play host to East Hall on Friday in its regular season finale.
