OAKWOOD -- The West Hall girls basketball team suffered a 51-46 defeat to Banks County on Monday in Oakwood.

Banks County pulled ahead 23-16 at halftime only to watch the Lady Spartans (9-14, 3-9 Region 7-AAA) shoot ahead 35-32 at the start of the fourth quarter. The Lady Leopards recovered and outscored West Hall 19-11 in the fourth quarter, however.

Kaelyn Gattis and Maia Booker each scored 15 points to pace the Lady Spartans -- Gattis going a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line in the loss (her second straight perfect game at the stripe). Jensen Hall also added 14 points, including four 3-pointers.

West Hall will play host to Buford tomorrow at 6 p.m. Tuesday with a "pink out" night in support of finding a cure for breast cancer.

Banks County, meanwhile, will wrap up its regular season on Friday in a home game versus East Hall.
