Boys basketball: Lakeview overpowers Riverside, 77-52

GAINESVILLE -- The Lakeview Academy boys basketball team pounded Riverside Military 77-52 on Saturday in Gainesville.

The Lions (16-6, 9-2 Region 8-A) were led by 16 points from Austin Montgomery. Rick Valentine, Joel Larsen and John Cox all scored 12 in the win, while Zach Montgomery added nine.

Jake Wiener paced Riverside with 15 points, while Adrian Humphrey scored 14.

Lakeview will play again Tuesday against Pinecrest Academy in the final home game of the season and final home regular season game for coach Seth Vining in Gainesville.
