FLOWERY BRANCH - The student who is charged with disrupting the day with an internet hoax at Flowery Branch High School Monday has been released from jail.

According to Hall County Solicitor General Stephanie Woodard, Tiffani Torres was released on $1,000 bond. Release reports from the Hall County Sheriff's Office indictated that Torres was released form custody at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday.

As part of the conditions of her release, Torres may not have a cell phone and she is prohibited from using the Internet or any sort of social media. Woodard also said the teen's curfew is 10 p.m.

Torres is accused of posting a phony threat on Instagram. The hoax sent a wave of law enforcement to the school Monday and prompted the parents of more than 1,000 students to check the students out of Flowery Branch High School early.

Authorities said they determined Torres never intended to harm anyone at the school. They did not indicate what the motive was for carrying out the hoax.
