Sautee rental cabin destroyed by fire

CLEVELAND - White County firefighters responded to a rental cabin fire shortly before 6 p.m. Sunday.

According to White County Public Safety Director David Murphy, the fire was at 238 Sweetheart Lane in Sautee.

According to Murphy, the rental cabin had already collapsed upon arrival of fire department personnel.

"There were no injuries on this fire, and no one at home at the time of the blaze," Murphy said. "The fire is under investigation."

County volunteers from Station 3 and Station 7, with assistance from Helen Fire Department and Lee Arrendale Fire Team responded to the blaze.
