GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls basketball team bounced back with a vengeance on Tuesday.

After suffering their first region loss of the season last week, the Lady War Eagles flattened Walnut Grove 88-22 in Gainesville.

The Lady War Eagles (16-4, 4-1 Region 8-AAAA) jumped out to a 23-4 first quarter lead and never looked back.

Kayla Watson scored 18 points to lead Chestatee, while Beidgette Kelly put up 17 points, as five players finished in double figures. Sam Brown and Maegan Kenimer chipped in with 11 points and Deanna Bradberry added 10.
